Compact and portable with versatile features
Designed with a minimal footprint, this MPC is small and light enough to throw in your pack between gigs. The 7-inch touch-screen has a menu for editing, interacting with samples and using the piano roll. Below this, four Q-Link buttons react to your onscreen commands.
Chop, tweak and warp your tracks
Once you're ready to record, choose a sampling mode or lay down audio using a mic, then tweak the results to produce something unique. There are various ways of splicing, looping and time warping individual sounds, so tracks evolve in exactly the way you planned.
Sixteen backlit RGB pads put you in control
Sixteen velocity-sensitive RGB pads sense how fast or slow you press, allowing you to deliver more nuanced and expressive performances.
Is the MPC one worth trying?
Yes, the Akai MPC One Standalone is a creative hub that makes it easier to produce complex content. A user-friendly screen and simple integration with CV synths and USB controllers mean you can effortlessly structure tracks, then export sequences to play live or fine-tune the details on a PC.
