Sony RX100 IV: Speed in pocket size

The RX100 of Superlative: The High Speed 1.0" Exmor RS CMOS sensor (1.9-inch) with 20.1 megapixels (effective) allows slow-motion shots with up to 40x slowing down and high-speed shutter speeds of up to 1 / 32,000 sec />

The large Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T 24-70 mm F1.8-2.8 lens allows wide-angle shots up to 24 mm. The maximum aperture of the telephoto lens has a brightness of F2.8 and allows shooting without camera shake and motion blur as well as photos (eg portraits) with beautiful background blurring. Zeiss T coating reduces ghosting and light reflections.

In digital cameras, light captured by the sensor is converted to digital images. Because the processor responsible for this conversion is just as important as the lens and sensor, the RX100 IV has an extremely fast Bionz X processor. This will give you more lifelike details, more realistic images, stronger color gradations, and less noise in your photos and videos.

Use the Mode dial to select the HFR feature to capture fast-paced, detailed action in slow motion. To adjust the recording to the speed of moving subjects, refresh rates of 960/1000 frames per second, 480/500 frames per second or 240/250 frames per second (NTSC / PAL) are available. At 240/250 frames per second, the picture quality is almost Full HD, and in the quality priority mode at 480/500 pictures per second, the HD quality is achieved. In the end-trigger mode, recording starts two or four seconds before you press the Movie button, so you do not miss important moments.

The Anti-Distortion shutter with its shutter speed of up to 1 / 32,000 sec reduces image distortion caused by rolling shutter effects. Thanks to the extremely fast shutter speed, you can set a large aperture and take photos with background blur effects, even in extreme brightness with light levels up to EV 19.

Thanks to the new, extremely fast image sensor - and despite the high pixel count of 20.1 megapixels - the camera has an accelerated read-out speed, which allows a continuous recording of up to 16 images per second. With this option you can capture fleeting moments or facial expressions.

The image resolution of the high-contrast fold-out electronic viewfinder corresponds to 2,359,000 pixels. Its high-resolution, self-luminous display allows the presentation of the finest details and a precise image structure. The eyepiece optics of the electronic viewfinder were coated with a Zeiss T * coating to avoid unwanted reflections and ensure a clear view of the entire image.

This is the camera for demanding photographers. For even more creative control, you can manually select the shutter speed, aperture and other professional settings with the comfortable collar on the lens.

The 3.0 "screen with high resolution and tilt function is ideal for selfies as well as the selection of the image for otherwise impossible bird's-eye or frog-like shots. It is suitable for shooting with low or high angle and gives you more creativity in the selection of the image section.

Questions?

What condition are the products in?

+

Grover rents new and as good as new products. Before products are rented out again, they go through a detailed quality check and multi-stage processing, so that each device rented from Grover arrives in flawless condition. If your device isn’t as expected, our customer service is happy to help.

When does the rent begin and end?

+

The first monthly rental payment is charged when ordering, but the rental period does not officially start until you receive your product. The delivery date determines the recurring monthly payment date. If you fall in love and want to keep your product longer than the minimum rental period, you can extend your rental plan in your customer dashboard at any time to reduce the monthly payment. At the end of the minimum rental period, you can keep renting on a monthly basis for the same price or cancel your subscription by returning your device for free.

What if my device gets damaged during the rental period?

+

If something happens during your rental, Grover Care is there for you. We pay for 90% of the repair costs for damages of all kinds, including display breakage, water damage, and technical defects. Of course there are no charges for device errors from the manufacturer.

Do I have to worry about signs of use?

+

You will not be charged for small scratches and signs of normal use, because we want you to enjoy your rented products as though they were yours. However, in order for the next renter to enjoy the product like new too, we must repair bigger signs of wear such as display defects. These damages will also be covered by Grover Care, so we pay 90% of the repair costs.

Can I also buy a product I'm renting?

+

Yes, 100% of your monthly payments go towards the purchase of the product. You have two options, depending on when you choose to buy. The first options is to rent for long enough that you can buy your product for a symbolic one Euro payment. The exact duration depends on the product and your chosen minimum rental period, and will be displayed at checkout, as well as in your customer account dashboard. The second option is to buy it earlier by paying all of the remaining rent payments at once.
