Both the A41 and A42 are in the same product family and look similar, but there are some major differences. The A42 is larger and also heavier, offering better functionality for activities like playing games or watching sport. It also provides 5G compatibility, something the slightly older A41 doesn't offer. If you're already a fan of the A41, a Samsung Galaxy A42 would be a sensible upgrade.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 is capable in every area. The 6.6" Super AMOLED display combines with quad rear cameras to make it a capable cameraphone. There's a fingerprint sensor to provide enhanced security and the baseline specs can be altered with memory upgradeable up to 1TB.
The A42 comes with a stylish, minimalist form, featuring minimal bezels - exactly what you'd expect from Samsung. It's not the most waterproof phone around and isn't suited to immersion. But it can take rain and a splash or two without problems. Whatever you use it for, the A42 will be a phone to rely on.
