The PlayStation 4 has just made gaming a bit more socialIt's hard to believe that there was a time when you could be the planet's best Gran Turismo player without anyone noticing. Meanwhile, the legend of lonely gamers has progressed. And on the world's most popular game console, the PlayStation 4, the social component is taken a step further. While playing online with your friends, you can upload video snippets to Facebook, share a screenshot, or instantly transfer your art of playing live. Listen to music while playing or stream the next episode of Homeland on Netflix as soon as you're done. All this happens in a chic, super-flat housing. Perfect for your living room and your social gaming life.Warning: you might start believing alternate realities are real, with dazzling visuals from AMD’s next-generation, Radeon graphics processing unit (GPU).
Why do you need this in your life?
Chat and share with great social features
The social interface on the PlayStation 4 is richer and easier to use than ever. When you add PlayStation Plus (a must), you can play multiplayer games with friends (or arch enemies). And while there, you can share your brilliance with the online world – and make the most of party chat and game communities. You can also connect your PS4 profile with gaming communities like Twitch.
Put your feet up with the best in TV, movies, and music
Your PlayStation 4 is also your living room’s entertainment hub. As well as playing Blu-ray discs, you can stream TV shows from the regulars like Netflix and Amazon, music from services like Spotify and VEVO, football from PlayStation F.C., and even subscribe to specialist services like Crunchyroll for anime fans.
Keep playing, and charging, with standby mode
It’s a small thing, but this is a bit of a game changer. With the new standby mode, you don’t have to switch off your PlayStation 4 when you’re not using it, and if you leave it on, it doesn’t use as much power or create as much heat. Plus, you can now use your downtime to charge your controller.

When does the rent begin and end?

At the end of the minimum rental period, you can keep renting on a monthly basis for the same price or cancel your subscription by returning your device for free.

The exact number of months depends on the product and your chosen minimum rental period, and will be displayed at checkout. You can find the number of months remaining until you can purchase the product in your customer account during the rental period. But of course, you can always stay flexible and are not obliged to buy the product at any time. If you rented your device before July 17, 2019, the purchasing option displayed in your customer account applies.
