Grover appoints former Ogilvy Executive Creative Director Tom Berger as Head of Brand Marketing
Berlin, 06.07.2020 – Berlin-based tech subscription company Grover appoints Tom Berger as Head of Brand Marketing. In his new role, the longtime agency creative leader will be responsible for Grover’s overall brand marketing strategy and execution, and will oversee the marketing design, content, and communications teams.
Berger took up his post as Head of Brand Marketing—a newly created position—in July. As such, he will play a key role in strengthening and evolving Grover’s brand communications, and driving the company’s storytelling initiatives. Berger builds on Grover’s two major brand campaigns since its launch in 2015: the Miet’se campaign in 2019 and, most recently, the Zero Gravity campaign. He reports directly to Grover’s CEO and Founder, Michael Cassau.
Berger’s joining coincides with a larger restructuring of Grover’s Growth team into separate Growth and Brand teams. Going forward, Grover’s Growth team, led by recently appointed Senior VP Growth Federico Paullier, subsumes all customer acquisition channels. Grover’s Brand team, under Berger’s lead, will drive all brand marketing initiatives.
Before joining Grover, Australian-born Berger spent more than 17 years working at some of the world’s top creative agencies, leading campaigns for clients such as Coca-Cola, Huawei, Unilever and Netflix. Most recently, he served as Ogilvy Germany’s Executive Creative Director.
